First weekend out in 2015 - Presquile Provincial Park

We were anxiously waiting for Friday am to make our short trek to Presquile Provincial Park in Brighton -  Our favourite park to visit in the spring. Spring migrating birds is our reason for our annual spring camp at Presquile, usually on Mother's Day weekend.

This year we opted to stay in a different area of the park- not that we have a huge trailer but this section is geared for larger trailers, and is primarily all electric sites. We were on site 69 in the High Bluff section. Our site was a waterfront site, with rock stairs leading to the water. In the summer, a sot after site for certain!!!

Presquile offers great birding in the spring and oodles of people out birding all weekend. The lighthouse area offers great spots to see multiple bird varieties, as well as the numerous trails they offer here. Two favourite trails are the Boardwalk trail and the Owens Point Trail.

Comfort stations are well kept here, as well as a great visitor centre at the lighthouse area. They also have a store with some grocery items, ice cream, camping supplies, & clothes.  A short drive into Brighton will have you stumble upon several grocery stores, restaurants, great little shops, a beer and liquor store, drug store - all here in case you need something.

Presquile Provincial Park is a park that will be have on our spring "must camp at" list as Peter loves to bird watch.  This park is fabulous for birders in the spring, and families any time of the year, with a great beach, wonderful trails to hike and bike!!!

on the boardwalk trail, which is wheelchair accessible and has multiple lookouts along the walk
